Chinese Language Studies Program
Introduction
Chinese Language Studies Program is open to international students who love Chinese Language and Chinese culture. Students learn Chinese at the College of Humanities and Social Sicences.
Instruction is divided into elementary and advanced levels. Courses are divided into five: Chinese Listening, Chinese Reading, Chinese Writing and Chinese Comprehension, Chinese Culture. Normally, Chinese Listening, Chinese Reading and Chinese Writing, Chinese Culture are 42 hours per semester, and Chinese Comprehension is 96 hours per semester.
Upon completion of the program students will receive a program certificate and an official transcript based on their attendance and examinatin results.
Application Prerequisites
Applicants for Chinese Language Learning should possess a senior high school diploma and above.
Application Materials
Applicants are required to submit “Nanjing Forestry University Application Form for Foreign Students Wishing to Study Chinese Language”, (http://iec.njfu.edu.cn/engnew/newsshow.php?cid=120&id=4527passport), visa , 1 reference letter, transcripts, highest degree certificate, physical exam record (within 1 year), non-criminal certificate (from university, work place or local police), a transfer letter(for all applicants in china), graduation certificate or certificate of completion(for applicants outside Nanjing in China)

Admission
Admission will be determined according to your educational background and the academic achievement. Upon acceptance, the University will send you the “Admission Notice” as well as the “Visa Form (Form JW202)”.
Registration Period
Fall Semester: In early September (specified in the Admission Notice);
Spring Semester: In February (specified in the Admission Notice).
NFU Academic Year
Fall Semester: normally from September to January;
Spring Semester: normally from February to June.
