2026 NJFU China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program

1.     Program Introduction

In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the exchange of scientific research young talents in the world,China Scholarship Council (CSC) carries out China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (referred to as China Link Scholarship). 

2.        Program Scheme

       (1) Categories:

General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or master students.

Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph.D students or faculties.

        (2) Duration:

1-12 months, start study in China no later than August 31, 2027.

        (3) Language:

English or Chinese, depending on the program provided by NJFU.

        (4) Fields:

All disciplines other than Chinese language study. 

3.        Funding

Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including a tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance  and monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

4.        Eligibility

(1)     Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, good moral character and academic excellence and be in good health, both mentally and physically.

(2)     Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.

(3)     Be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China. For the list of CSC’s foreign partner universities, please refer to Appendix 1 

5.        Application Procedure

(1)     Complete the online application at NJFU Online Application system (website:https://njfu.17gz.org)till December 31, 2026. Please choose self-funded for student category. There is no need to pay for the application fee after submitting the application.

(2)     After preliminary examination, interview and comprehensive assessment of the applicants, the university will determine the list of recommended candidates and issue pre-admission notices for the recommended candidates.Meanwhile, the university shall submit the list of recommended candidates to CSC two months before the students’ arrival in China.

(3)     Applicants  who have been granted the pre-admission material by the University should Online application at CSC website at (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login). For the online application guide, please refer to Appendix 2

(4)     Scholarship acceptance results will be announced by the China Scholarship Council, and the university will process the visa documents for students to study in China according to the acceptance results.

6.        Application Documents

(1)     Passport Homepage: Applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of his/her ordinary passport within validity.

(2)     Certificate of Highest Education: If not applicable, please upload a school letter or employment letter issued by your current foreign university.

(3)     Transcripts of Highest Education: If not applicable, please upload a school letter or employment letter issued by the current f university.

(4)     Study Plan: A personal statement or research proposal (minimum 500 words) in Chinese or English.

(5)     Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Required for stays of 6 months or more. For stays under 6 months, a personal health declaration is acceptable.

(6)     Non-Criminal Record Report: Required for stays of 6 months or more. For stays under 6 months, a personal non-criminal statement is acceptable.

(7)     Pre-admission Letter: Pre-admission documents or invitation letter issued by NEFU (Optional).

(8)     Published Papers or Articles (Optional).

(9)     Language Proficiency Certificate (Optional).
